A Corporate Experience, Reimagined Through Scent

A Corporate Experience, Reimagined Through Scent

We recently partnered with our friends at The Hart Hotel Shoreditch to host a private candle making workshop for the German American Express team, bringing together hospitality, creativity and connection in the heart of East London.

Set within the hotel’s intimate restaurant, UBA, the experience unfolded as a considered pause within an otherwise fast paced corporate visit. Between carefully curated canapés and glasses of prosecco, guests were invited to slow down and step into a more sensory way of engaging with one another.

The workshop began with scent exploration, a moment of curiosity and conversation where each guest discovered fragrances that resonated with them personally. As the oils were blended, stories naturally followed. Memories surfaced. People shared where certain scents transported them to: childhood moments, favourite cities, familiar places that felt unexpectedly close again.

There is something uniquely revealing about scent. It bypasses formality and invites honesty, turning a room of professionals into something more human, more present.

From there, each guest created their own candle, carefully pouring bespoke blends that would later become a tangible reminder of the experience. What began as a corporate meeting quickly transformed into something more memorable: a shared creative ritual.

As the candles set, conversations shifted back to business, but with a different energy in the room: lighter, more open, grounded by the time spent creating together.

By the time the German team departed for the airport, they carried with them more than notes from meetings or a schedule of outcomes. They left with something far more lasting: a scent led souvenir of London, and a reminder of what happens when work and experience are allowed to meet in the middle.

At Reverie, this is what we aim to create within corporate spaces, not just workshops, but moments that linger long after the agenda ends. Drop us a message so we can plan your corporate experience today.
