It’s not everyday go out for dinner and drinks, we need more luxury wholesome activities for the girlies! That’s why it made every bit of sense to collaborate with Out of Office Collective, a diverse community of young professionals and creatives sharing travel tips and experiences, (again) for a candle making workshop. Making this one the largest candle making workshop Reverie had to deliver, yet.
By now, if you haven’t realised, it’s not a candle making workshop unless something goes wrong. But at this point, I’ve embraced it as it builds character and creates a memorable moment. What happened this time? Well, someone rear ended my car, twice, and drove off. Fortunately, as I’ve learned to leave plenty of time before the candle making workshop starts to account for London traffic, the ordeal didn’t set me back. Unfortunately, the driver didn’t stop to swap details with me, so it became a criminal case. But what mattered the most, myself, Lucille and Tesley (the name I’ve given to my Tesla), we were unharmed and raring to go.
It was heartwarming seeing the joy on people’s faces as they discovered the scents they liked the best. Usually when people ask whether you can combine the fragrance oils into one scent, I advise them not to, as although the top note seems compatible the base note may not be. On this occasion, however, Out of Office Collective members were overjoyed to experiment, and I’m hoping they were still elated when the base notes were reached. That’s what I like about fragrance, it’s personal to each individual. Psychologically, fragrances have a strong tie to memory, so I’m hoping each time they burn their candle, not only are they transported to their daydream, but they’re reminded of the beautiful experience that was the Out of Office Collective x Reverie Candle Making Workshop.
