Introducing Reverie's Perfume Making Experience: Create Your Own Signature Scent in London and Northamptonshire

After almost a year of research, refinement and fragrance trials, we're delighted to introduce the newest chapter of Reverie: The Perfume Making Workshop.

Launched at Hart Shoreditch, our newest luxury perfume making workshop in London, and soon to arrive in Northamptonshire, invites guests to step beyond fragrance as something you simply wear, and into fragrance as something you create.

Scent has the extraordinary ability to transport us, to a memory, a feeling, or a future version of ourselves. Our perfume experience was designed around that belief.

Each guest is invited to discover over 20 premium fragrance oils, thoughtfully curated into four signature scent collections: Opulent, Wild, Romantic and Serene. From luminous florals and fresh citrus to warm woods, soft musks and rich amber accords, every fragrance has been chosen to inspire self expression and encourage exploration.

Guided by our team, guests create a bespoke 30ml oil based extrait perfume, blending a fragrance that reflects not just their preferences, but how they want to feel each time they wear it.

Unlike traditional alcohol based perfumes, our oil based extrait format creates a fragrance that wears intimately on the skin, developing beautifully throughout the day while offering a rich, long lasting scent experience.

Our launch event welcomed both familiar faces and first time Dreamers, each leaving with a fragrance that was entirely their own and thoughtfully blended, personally named, and uniquely meaningful.

In Conversation with Our Founder

Why perfume making?

"When people think of fragrance, perfume is often the first thing that comes to mind. In many ways, it felt like the most natural evolution of Reverie.

The perfume I was wearing inspired the first Reverie Candle collection, so it felt beautifully full circle that our candle making experiences would eventually inspire a perfume making experience.

Creating your own signature fragrance is incredibly empowering. Instead of searching for the perfect perfume, you learn how to create it yourself. Perhaps you've fallen in love with a fragrance but wished it had a little more warmth, a softer floral heart, or a brighter citrus opening. This experience gives you the freedom to create something that feels completely personal.

More than anything, it's an invitation to slow down, explore beautiful scent combinations, and be transported into your own daydream."

Why create an oil based perfume rather than an alcohol based one?

"I wanted guests to experience fragrance differently.

Oil based perfumes sit closer to the skin, allowing the scent to develop gradually and feel deeply personal. They're intimate, luxurious and encourage a more intentional way of wearing fragrance. Rather than announcing your arrival, they're discovered in those quieter, closer moments."

Why an extrait concentration?

"Longevity was incredibly important to me. I wanted guests to leave with a perfume that felt luxurious and lasted beautifully throughout the day.

Choosing an extrait concentration allows us to create a richer fragrance experience, where a little goes a long way and the scent evolves elegantly on the skin."

Why a spray bottle instead of a rollerball?

"I've always loved the ritual of applying perfume from a spray bottle. It feels timeless, elegant and effortlessly chic.

It also allows guests to enjoy their creation in the same way they would a luxury fragrance from their favourite perfume house."

What inspired the bottle design?

"I've always admired the understated elegance of iconic perfume bottles. I wanted ours to feel equally timeless, while leaving room for every guest to make it their own.

One of my favourite parts of the workshop is watching people name their fragrance. Scent is so deeply connected to memory, emotion and identity, so giving your perfume a name transforms it from a beautiful fragrance into a personal story."

What's next for Reverie?

"This is only the beginning.

Our vision has always been to create beautiful fragrance experiences that become part of people's self care rituals. Alongside our candle and perfume workshops, we'll soon be introducing soap making, bath salt blending and body cream workshops, each designed to encourage creativity, mindfulness and moments of everyday luxury.

Reverie has never simply been about making products. It's about creating experiences that allow you to pause, reconnect with yourself and carry a little piece of that feeling home."
