Mother’s Day with Reverie

Mother’s Day with Reverie

Each Dreamer was guided through the process of making their own candle, but what would a Reverie candle making workshop be without a special Reverie twist. Growing up, every Mother’s Day began with baking a cake for my mum, something sweet she could enjoy in bed before the day unfolded.

This memory inspired the look and feel of the entire Indulge candle and workshop. The candles we created didn’t just smell beautiful, they looked like miniature desserts. Guests piped whipped candle wax to resemble icing, topping their creations with sprinkles in pastel colours. The result? A collection of candles that looked almost good enough to eat.

There was laughter, concentration, and plenty of “oohs” as Dreamers added their final flourishes. No two candles were the same, with one coming out fluorescent pink, but each one told a story.

We often say scent is the closest link to memory, and that’s why this workshop felt especially meaningful. Every time our mother and daughter duos light their candle at home, we hope they’re instantly transported back to this moment: the shared laughter, the calm, the quiet joy of creating something together.

We were deeply honoured that so many chose to spend their Mother’s Day with Reverie, with some guests even travelling across the country to join us. It’s not something we take lightly.

Wax piped like buttercream, hands steady with sprinkles, and the unmistakable smiles of people fully in the moment, you can catch the scenes here:

There’s something so special about creating a handmade candle and knowing it will be gifted, lit, and remembered.

If you missed out on this one, don’t worry, we’ll be back with new workshops that offer the same soul soothing blend of scent, stillness, and creativity.

Until then, thank you to everyone who joined us and made Mother’s Day so meaningful.
