Reverie Candle returned to The Hart Hotel to fill the lobby with luxurious, mood lifting fragrance blends. Across two intimate candle making workshops, our Dreamers immersed themselves in a truly creative experience, hand-pouring their own scented soy wax candles from start to finish.
Dreamers were welcomed with a generous spread of pastries, teas, coffees and refreshments, kindly provided by the wonderful UBA. As the workshops unfolded, hotel guests passing through the lobby could not help but wish they had secured tickets in time. The atmosphere was calm, creative and indulgent, making it the perfect setting for a hands-on candle making experience in London.
The workshops coincided with the first ever SXSW London, which felt especially fitting. Creativity was very much in the air, and candle making remains one of the most mindful and expressive creative activities you can take part in.
In candle making, coffee is often used as a palette cleanser. When you have smelled too many fragrance oils, a quick sniff of coffee beans helps reset your senses. For this reason, I always place bowls of coffee beans on the tables during workshops.
However, Dreamers know no limits. Instead of using the coffee beans solely to cleanse their palette, some participants began decorating their candles with them too. This playful creativity sparked a new idea, which eventually became our coffee-scented candle, Latte.
Latte is now available to purchase on reveriecandle.co.uk and has quickly become a favourite for those who love warm, comforting fragrance notes inspired by cosy café moments.
Each Dreamer personalised their candle with carefully selected botanicals, transforming their creation into a unique handcrafted keepsake. Every candle told its own story, shaped by the scent combinations and decorative choices made during the workshop.
