Reverie x eBay: Black History Month

Reverie x eBay: Black History Month

Black History Month has always been one of my favourite times of the year. When I worked in tech, it was a chance to meet inspiring people, discover new businesses, and celebrate achievements in the community.

A year ago, I was introduced to the amazing team at eBay during Black Tech Fest, and a year later, I was honoured to be invited by that very team to be a vendor at eBay’s Black History Month Market at their headquarters in Richmond.

Throughout the day, eBay staff explored the range of Reverie candles, discovering their favourite scents and picking up gifts for loved ones. Some purchased candles for their girlfriends, others for sisters, and many simply treated themselves to a moment of calm and indulgence. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and the encouragement from the eBay community was truly heartwarming.

The impact didn’t end there. Just two weeks later, at the UK Black Business Show, I ran into members of the eBay team again, who thanked me for creating such beautiful candles. The fact that Reverie Candle could leave a lasting impression and spark joy still amazes me.

A huge thank you to eBay for platforming an independent black owned business, and a warm welcome to all the new Dreamers who discovered Reverie Candle through this event. Black History Month is about celebration, community, and connection, and this experience perfectly captured all three.
