Reverie Candle Making Workshops returned once again to Grandbies Coffee House, one of our most meaningful venues and a place where so much of the Reverie journey first began. Hosting a Christmas candle making workshop in my hometown always feels special, and Grandbies provided the perfect festive setting to bring creativity, scent and seasonal joy together.
Set within Grandbies’ cosy Christmas grotto, Dreamers created their own sensory winter wonderland. Surrounded by twinkling lights and festive decor, dreamers settled in for an immersive candle making experience designed to celebrate the magic of the season.
As Dreamers poured their soy wax candles, they enjoyed warm seasonal drinks from Grandbies Coffee House, including the much loved White Pistachio Hot Chocolate. The combination of comforting drinks and hands on creativity made the workshop feel especially cosy and indulgent.
Guests were invited to choose from our full range of fragrances, with Mulled Muse emerging as the firm favourite. Inspired by the rich, spiced aroma of mulled wine, the scent filled the space and instantly set a festive tone.
Rather than using wax melt embeds, Dreamers chose to decorate their candles with our signature dried botanical embellishments, creating elegant, fragrant Christmas candles that felt both personal and timeless.
With Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You playing in the background, the festive spirit was in full flow. While the candles set, guests took part in a light hearted Christmas trivia quiz, adding laughter and friendly competition to the afternoon.
Among the Dreamers were two mums enjoying a rare mum day out without the kids. Candle making offered them a moment to slow down, relax and enjoy time together. Scent and memory are deeply connected, and every time they light their candle, they will be transported back to that calm, cosy afternoon, hopefully carrying a little of that energy back into everyday life.
Candle making truly is the perfect Christmas activity. It combines creativity, relaxation and connection, all wrapped up in festive scent and atmosphere.
