Last year, we hosted a sold out candle making workshop with Out of Office Collective, a diverse members community of young professionals and creatives brought together by a shared love of travel, culture and meaningful experiences. So when the opportunity arose to return one year on, it felt only right to do it again, this time elevating the experience into a Sip & Scent candle making workshop.
Members clubs and candle making go hand in hand. Both are rooted in connection, shared experiences and creating moments that feel intentional rather than transactional. Candle making offers members a chance to slow down, socialise naturally and engage in a tactile activity that encourages conversation without pressure. It creates the perfect environment for members to meet, reconnect and feel part of a community.
Our sold out bottomless candle making workshop was held at 6:15 The Studio, a vibrant new creative space in Hackney and a true home for creatives. From the moment guests arrived, the room was alive with energy, laughter and conversation, fuelled by free flowing drinks and an immersive scent selection.
As Dreamers explored our fragrance range, new friendships were formed and existing ones were deepened. Candle making created an easy rhythm for connection, with dreamers chatting as they blended scents, poured wax and decorated their candles together.
Scent and memory are deeply linked, which makes candle making particularly powerful in community settings. Not only did Out of Office Collective members leave with a strong sense of accomplishment and a candle they had created themselves, but every time they light it, they will be transported back to that afternoon of creativity, connection and shared experience.
It is experiences like these that make members clubs thrive, and we are proud to continue creating workshops that bring people together in meaningful, memorable ways.
