Reverie Candle Making Workshops took a bold step outside our usual locations of London and Northampton, hosting our first ever Pilates & Candle Making event in Manchester at The Health Lab. The evening combined movement, mindfulness and creativity in a unique wellness experience designed to leave participants feeling both energised and relaxed.

After members of The Health Lab enjoyed a full reformer Pilates class, they transitioned into the soothing world of candle making. Our carefully curated wellness fragrances filled the room, creating a calming atmosphere that complemented the physical release and focus achieved during Pilates.

Candle making has been shown to support wellbeing in several ways. Studies suggest that hands-on creative activities like candle making can:

Combining a reformer Pilates class with candle making makes perfect sense. Candle making then extends that sense of calm, allowing participants to focus on their hands, senses and imagination, reinforcing the mind-body connection cultivated in Pilates.

Participants left the workshop not only with their handcrafted soy wax candles but also with a sense of accomplishment and renewed wellbeing. Combining fitness and creativity on a Friday evening proved to be the perfect way to unwind after a busy week while prioritising both mental and physical health.

Wellness focused workshops like this one are more than just enjoyable experiences. They encourage stress relief, social connection and personal reflection. The rhythmic, hands-on process of pouring wax and adding fragrance encourages focus and mindfulness, mirroring the same benefits participants gain from Pilates.
